Jordan and Kobe? Pippen and Lebron?

In the 6 seasons that Michael Jordan was able to capture an NBA Championship and Finals MVP he was always known as "the best ever".  Now just because I am a Laker fan does not mean I'm trying to take anything away from the best Shooting-Guard to ever play the game (especially in his and this era; I'll throw Jerry West in there but he's 60's/70's and was sort of that combo guard type. So I'll just state it quickly.  I believe Kobe is one of the best to ever play, key word "was", but I also don't think he's ever quite been on the level of the great Mike.  Or do the stats just make Jordan look so much better?  After some analysis and deep thought, it seems I've realized how much credit we as a collective fan-base of the NBA tend to give both Michael Jordan and then coach Phil Jackson. It seems that then Scottie Pippen is the subject discussed. I do believe we ought to at least look at it all objectively. Kobe couldn't take m...

NBA 2k14 Career Mode My Player 'Player Styles' Stat Caps on XBOX 360

(Had to give this guy hits and props) When creating a new career and my player for NBA 2k14 these caps and starting stats help show you which "Play Style" is what you are looking for. For all you guys that play 2k14... this shows the caps for whatever position and play style you create.... a PF "Defensive" play style, for example, starts with better defensive stats and awareness but now you can see all the different play styles for each position, each attribute, speed and quickness, shot ratings, layup and dunk ratings, defensive, physical and mental awareness and consistency. Some guards have 90 shoot in traffic another, same position has 85 and another Play Style for that position is 80. You can really fine tune what your player will become.   https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/published.do?rid=12cbmb3fea1d7cd764d859dc27c75f10e00c0 Hopefully it helps (*on the link you change positions in the bottom left) 360 Gamertag:  MetaWorldSCHIZO Always gaming

NBA Most Improved Player 2014 - Anthony Davis

2014 MOST IMPROVED PLAYER Anthony Davis 2012-2013: 13.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 1.8 blocks 2013-2014: 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, 2.9 blocks This was definitely the toughest award to give out actually.  While I basically had two guys for Defensive Player, there are many a  players having breakout seasons. From Paul George sustaining his level of play from last years playoffs and improving all around to Eric Bledsoe becoming a Sun and putting up great numbers finally getting to start and play bigger minutes to Al Jefferson, a 30+ year old veteran putting up career numbers (as a result of the Bobcats offense). Add D-League/NBA bounce-around guy Gerald Green having a great season with the Suns as a starter/6th man Shooting Guard, and almost any Sun player (Dragic, Plumlee, Morris). Andre Drummond finally started and was able to stay out of foul trouble in his second season, putting up great numbers and showing how good he will be. This year was simply...

NBA Draft as talented as the 2003 Lebron, Wade, Melo lottery?

TOP: Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Mo Williams, Josh Howard BOTTOM: David West, Leandro Barbosa, Kirk Hinrich, Chris Kaman, Kendrick Perkins, TJ Ford    Now it's hard to say with any definite tone that this upcoming NBA Draft of 2014 is going to be as good as 2003's, as I've read in numerous articles from respected reporters and scouts (Lebron, Melo, Wade, Bosh, and others noted in picture above).  Now I'm trying to do my best to stay objective, but it's hard to beat that class after reading it might be as good as some 80's draft that had so much talent and stars.  But I like comparing this years draft to 2003's (as they are similar in the young talent as well as depth) and think they are actually quite right on about the talent coming out for this year's draft, including the young freshman class that has dominated the NCAA landscape. March Madness is looking to be played at one of the highest levels it's ever been pl...
